Vendor of The Month: Emily Smeykal of As We Gather Events!

"Hey y'all! I'm Emily, owner and lead planner for As We Gather - a wedding and event planning company based right here in Nashville, TN! I am a Nashville native so I have watched this little town make its mark on the map. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we just had our first child, a boy! We also have a fur baby. We love to travel and see new places and try new foods! We also love staying home and just binge watching TV shows - especially those days after a long event day!

I love being a small business owner. AWG Events is currently in its fourth year of business and we average 15-20 weddings/events per year right now. Our main focus is weddings but we love any and all special events! We offer full planning or even just event coordination. No matter the event, it should run smoothly and you, the host, should get to enjoy it! And who wouldn't want someone they can call on along the way to give them reassurances and advice?

I am an Enneagram 2 wing 1 so you can imagine how perfectly my personality is for serving others! Logistics are my speciality and you can guarantee your day will flow perfectly with our team on board. From the beginning, we share our preferred vendors list that we have curated over the years and then as we plan together, we make sure your layout, timeline and design plan are exactly how you pictured it for your perfect day! Every detail will be intentional and you will actually enjoy the process. We tell people that they should hire us so that we can handle all of the tasks that you, the client, don't want to do, ha, and then you can focus on the fun tasks you are looking forward to.
